Questions before you start

Can I create several magnets with different forms?

Yes, absolutely. Each lead magnet is independent, with its own file, form fields, consent texts, colours and delivery settings. You can create completely different campaigns in parallel without conflicts. The maximum number depends on your plan: Professional allows 10, Agency and Business allow unlimited.

Are the download links secure?

Completely. Each link uses a random 64-character cryptographic token in hexadecimal format. Links expire after the configured number of hours (24 hours by default) and can be limited to a single use. In addition, every download is logged with IP, time and user agent for auditing.

Where are the leads stored?

Leads and consent records are stored in two dedicated tables in your WordPress database: bdw_dbm_leads and bdw_dbm_consent_log. The data is never sent to external servers unless you enable optional integrations such as webhooks, Mailchimp or reCAPTCHA. Everything stays under your full control.

Can I export leads to my email marketing platform?

Yes. The plugin includes native integrations with Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign and RD Station. You can also send data through webhooks to any service that accepts an HTTP POST, including Zapier, Make, Slack and Discord. You can also export leads by hand to CSV from the admin dashboard.

Does it comply with LGPD, GDPR and CCPA?

The plugin is designed to help you comply with these regulations. It includes automatic generation of consent texts, a complete audit log (type of consent, text, IP, timestamp), integration with the WordPress privacy tools and support for exporting and erasing personal data. However, it does not guarantee automatic legal compliance. We recommend consulting a lawyer specialised in privacy for your specific jurisdiction.

Does it work with page builders such as Elementor or Divi?

Yes. The shortcode [bdw_bait id="X"] works in any context that supports WordPress shortcodes, including Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Gutenberg (shortcode block) and classic widgets. We also include a native Gutenberg block with live preview.

What happens if the plugin is deactivated?

The lead and consent data stays in your database. You can reactivate the plugin at any time and get all your data back. If you uninstall the plugin, you can choose to delete the data automatically or keep it. We recommend making a backup before uninstalling.

Does it offer analytics and reports?

Yes. The analytics dashboard shows real-time metrics: number of active magnets, total leads captured, conversion rate per bait, email delivery rate and A/B variant performance. You can filter by date range and export reports for deeper analysis.

Can I use A/B testing to optimise my magnets?

Yes, with the Agency plan or higher. The plugin lets you create A/B variants of your magnets with different headlines, descriptions, button colours and texts. The system tracks views and conversions for each variant automatically, so you can identify which version converts best.
