[B] Finance Manager

Real financial control for agencies, in your WordPress

What it solves

Questions before you start

Does it replace my tax adviser or invoicing software?

No. [B] Finance Manager is an internal control and forecasting tool. Legal invoices must still be issued by your invoicing software or accountant. This plugin helps you know what money you expect, when and where it comes from, but it does not replace the official accounts.

When does the daily recurrence engine run?

Once a day via WP-Cron, around 06:00 (site time zone). You can force a manual run at any time from Finance → Settings → Tools. If your site has little traffic, WP-Cron may be delayed; in that case, we recommend setting up a server cron that calls wp-cron.php every morning.

Are reminders sent to clients automatically?

Only if you turn on "Payment reminders to clients" in Settings. The system sends one reminder per overdue invoice, but respects a configurable interval to avoid spam. You can customise the message, include placeholders such as {cliente}, {monto}, {fecha_vencimiento}, and set the number of days before the reminder is sent.

Which user roles can access the plugin?

By default, administrators only. The plugin uses the custom capability bdw_fm_manage_finances. You can grant this capability to other roles (Editor, Author) with any role manager plugin. The plugin does not create new roles, it only uses the standard WordPress capability.

Does it work with multisite?

Yes, fully compatible with WordPress Multisite. Each site has its own database of clients, suppliers, transactions and settings. The Agency and Enterprise licenses allow you to activate the plugin on unlimited sites within the same network.

How does bank reconciliation work?

Upload a CSV of your bank statement (Santander, BBVA, CaixaBank, Revolut, etc.). The plugin automatically detects the delimiter, the encoding and the column names. It then matches your recorded transactions with those of the bank by amount and date (with configurable tolerance). It shows you a summary of the matches and the unreconciled transactions before you confirm. Once confirmed, your transactions are marked as paid and the bank reference is recorded.

Can I use the REST API to integrate other plugins?

Yes. [B] Finance Manager includes a secure REST API (bdw-fm/v1) that lets you create, read, update and delete transactions, clients and suppliers from other plugins or external services. It uses API key authentication (X-BDW-FM-API-Key header) and rate limiting (60 requests/minute). See the complete documentation in Settings → API or at https://baqueiro.es/docs/b-finance-manager.

What happens if I change the currency after creating transactions?

Transactions already recorded keep their original currency. Only new records use the currency you set. If you need to change the currency of historical records, contact support; we can help you migrate the data. We recommend setting the currency before you start recording transactions.

Can it export to formats other than CSV?

At the moment, the plugin exports to CSV (Excel compatible). Reports can also be viewed on screen and printed. If you need export to other formats (PDF, JSON, XML), contact support or check the plugin roadmap.

Is there a limit on transactions or clients?

There is no technical limit. Performance depends on your server and database. We have tested the plugin with more than 10,000 transactions, 500 clients and 200 suppliers without problems. If you have a very high volume, we recommend a server with at least 2 GB of RAM and MySQL 5.7+.
